The Bluegrass Journeymen is a central Kentucky based bluegrass band consisting of four veteran performers. Each member brings to the band their own personal experience and individual style to create a sound that continues to grow increasingly popular. The Bluegrass Journeymen, while staying close to traditional roots, has developed a well balanced style of bluegrass music that appeals to a broad audience. The band was formed in 2004 and has achieved success and acceptance in the bluegrass community.
The Bluegrass Journeymen had a very successful 2006, performing at more than 40 venues; including many local and regional events. Among those were the Kentucky Friends of Bluegrass Music Festival and Meadowgreen Park Music Hall at Clay City, Kentucky; the World Chicken Festival in London, and the Festival of the Bluegrass in Lexington, plus numerous other area attractions. They were featured on three nationally broadcast live radio performances and one local TV broadcast. They have completed two CD's, December Rain and The Words Written in Red. The latter being an all gospel project (title track penned by band member Jimmy Roberts).
The Bluegrass Journeymen present themselves in a positive and professional manner; dedicated to preserving the integrity and heritage of this great style of music. The band's commitment to the world of bluegrass music is to give YOU their best performance to date.
